- What is the 21st Annual Malcolm X Festival?
It is the 21st year that the Atlanta Chapter of Community Aid and Development Corporation and the Malcolm X Grassroots Movement has celebrated the birthday of Malcolm X Omowale Malik Shabazz, who was born May 19, 1925.
- What should we expect?
All activities, including speeches, solidarity statements, spiritual affirmations, and musical performances will relate to Malcolm's message of Human Rights and Self-Determination.
- What is the purpose of the event?
To provide metro-Atlanta citizens an opportunity to recognize and celebrate the legacy of an international African icon by means of a cultural celebration which promotes unity while honoring diversity.
- What type of vendors should be expected?
Cultural artifacts, paintings, sculpture, carvings, jewelry, literature, clothing, crafts, food and much, much more.
- What time does it begin and end?
The festivities begin at 12 noon and end at 8 pm.
- Does it cost anything?
No, there is no admission fee.
- Where can I park?
Parking is available on the streets only. There is no parking allowed on the park grounds.
